Heaters for Ceiling Grid Systems
Grid ceilings, also known as coffered ceilings, are widely used in many modern buildings such as schools, offices, production facilities, retail and wholesale shops, canteens, restaurants and public spaces. These suspended ceiling systems, in standard sizes such as 600x600 mm (for example OWA Odenwald ceiling) or 625x625 mm (such as Armstrong), offer quick and easy installation. They make it possible to conceal cables, pipes and air ducts inconspicuously in the ceiling void. In addition to the already widespread integration of light panels and supply and exhaust air modules, there is now an innovative option for heating these rooms: infrared heaters.
These heaters offer particularly efficient and targeted heat distribution, making them an excellent alternative to conventional heating systems. Infrared heaters do not heat the air, but the surfaces in the room directly, which ensures a pleasant and even heat without creating draughts or dry air. Thanks to this directed heat effect and the fast heat-up times, infrared heaters can significantly reduce energy consumption, which leads to noticeable savings in heating costs. They can also be easily integrated into existing ceiling systems without the need for costly conversion work.
Another advantage is that these heaters work without air circulation, which means less dust is stirred up and the indoor climate is improved - a clear benefit for allergy sufferers. In addition, infrared heaters are completely silent in operation, which makes them particularly pleasant in quiet environments. Many of these heating systems can also be controlled via thermostats or smart heating systems, allowing flexible adjustment to individual heating requirements.
The ECOSUN IWH-300 RD infrared heater is particularly suitable for grid ceilings measuring 625x625 mm. All other infrared heaters in our range are designed for cassette ceilings with the standard dimensions of 600x600 mm.
