Decoupling systems
Decoupling systems for critical substrates - Lay safely, enjoy permanently
Critical substrates such as old, cracked screeds, vibrating wooden floors or mixed constructions made of different materials pose a particular challenge when it comes to floor construction. Tension, movement or moisture damage can quickly lead to cracks, cavities or premature failure of the floor covering, especially with sensitive coverings such as tiles, natural stone or seamless trowelled surfaces. Anyone working here without additional protective measures risks not only visual defects, but also costly refurbishment.
Our decoupling systems are the proven solution for these problems. The special decoupling mats or strips are laid between the subfloor and the floor covering and act as a protective layer: they neutralise stresses, compensate for movement and reliably prevent existing cracks or material differences from penetrating through to the floor covering. At the same time, depending on the design, effective moisture protection or vapour pressure equalisation can also be integrated - ideal in combination with underfloor heating or for subfloors with increased residual moisture.
Regardless of whether you are renovating or constructing a new building: with the right decoupling system, you can create the basis for a durable, stable and visually perfect floor surface - even on challenging substrates.
