Perforated 36V heating film, fleece-laminated, 220W/m²
Our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating films are among the thinnest variants of electric heating systems and are specially designed for use as floor, wall or ceiling heating. They can be used in new buildings as well as for renovations or refurbishments. Manufactured in Germany, the heating films are suitable for use as main or auxiliary heating or can be used for mould prevention when installed selectively. However, the perforated heating films are also used in many other industrial projects.
The special feature of these heating films is the non-woven lamination and uniform perforation, which makes them extremely easy to process. This means that the heating films can be used universally as electric underfloor heating under tiles, granite or porcelain stoneware in flexible tile adhesive. Alternatively, processing in floor levelling compound is also possible.
Of course, it is also possible to install under adhesive floor coverings such as vinyl, parquet or herringbone laminate. To do this, the perforated heating films are simply fixed to the substrate using floor covering adhesive and then the respective floor covering is glued on top. Another option is invisible installation on the wall or ceiling, where the low-voltage heating films can be applied with fine or textured plaster or fixed smoothly behind wallpaper.
The heating films consist of two copper strips that supply an electrically conductive carbon coating on a carrier material. As soon as a voltage (either direct or alternating voltage) is applied to the copper strips of the heating films, the carbon material heats up and emits long-wave infrared radiation with an IR wavelength of 7-14 micrometres (IR-C radiation). This heats up almost the entire surface of the heating films extremely evenly, thus ensuring homogeneous heat distribution. Compared to other electrical heating systems, the energy used is converted into heat without major losses, which makes the heating films very efficient.
The range of our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating films extends to various voltages between 24 - 48 volts (AC/DC) and heating outputs of 55 - 584 W/m² (+/- 10%). The 24V versions of the heating films are particularly suitable for use in damp rooms, for example for underfloor heating in a walk-in shower.

Note: A suitable voltage source (e.g. transformer or battery) and a suitable thermostat with external temperature sensor are required for a complete heating solution. The thermostat thus ensures thermal monitoring of the heating film and also guarantees that the temperature is limited to the maximum temperature specified by the flooring manufacturer.
