Perforated heating film fleece-laminated
Our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating films are among the thinnest versions of electrical heating systems and are specially designed for use as floor, wall or ceiling heating. They can be used equally well in new buildings or for renovations or refurbishments. The heating films, which are manufactured in Germany, are suitable both as main or supplementary heating or can be used for mould prevention when installed selectively. But the perforated heating films are also used in many other industrial projects.
The special feature of these heating films is the fleece lamination and even perforation, which enables extremely simple processing. Thus, for example, the heating films can be universally installed as electric underfloor heating under tiles, granite or fine stoneware in flexible tile adhesive. Alternatively, it can be installed in floor levelling compound.
Of course, installation under glueable floor coverings such as vinyl, parquet or herringbone laminate is also possible. For this purpose, the perforated heating films are simply fixed to the subfloor with floor covering adhesive and then the respective floor covering is glued to it. Another option is invisible installation on the wall or ceiling, where the low-voltage heating films can be applied either with fine or textured plaster or smoothly trowelled behind wallpaper.
The heating films consist of two copper strips that supply an electrically conductive carbon coating on a carrier material. As soon as a voltage (either DC or AC) is applied to the copper strips of the heating films, the carbon material heats up and emits long-wave infrared radiation with an IR wavelength of 7-14 micrometres (IR-C radiation). In the process, almost the entire surface of the heating films heats up extremely evenly, thus ensuring homogeneous heat distribution. Compared to other electrical heating systems, the energy used is converted into heat without much loss, which makes the heating films very efficient.
The range of our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating films covers different voltages between 24 - 48 volts (AC/DC) and heating capacities of 55 - 584 W/m² (+/- 10%). Especially the 24V versions of the heating films are suitable for an application in damp rooms, which allows for example an underfloor heating in a shower that can be walked on at ground level.

Note: For a complete heating solution, a suitable power source (e.g. transformer or battery) and a suitable thermostat with external temperature sensor are required. The thermostat thus provides thermal monitoring of the heating film and also ensures that the temperature is limited to the maximum temperature specified by the covering manufacturer.
