Anti-Mold

Electric heating systems for mould prevention

Mould prevention is an important aspect of maintaining the value of a building and protecting health. Mould often develops in damp, poorly ventilated areas and can lead to serious health problems such as respiratory illnesses and allergies. However, it is not only health that is at risk; mould can also severely damage the fabric of a building. It is therefore important to combat mould at an early stage and, above all, to prevent it from forming again.

There are many causes of mould infestation. It is often caused by damp walls, which are favoured by leaks, cracks in the building fabric, missing or incorrect insulation and condensation of air humidity on cold walls. Inadequate heating and ventilation also contribute to mould finding ideal conditions to spread in corners, window reveals, cellars or bathrooms.

In the event of an infestation, action should be taken quickly in order to minimise both the health and structural consequences. However, the use of conventional mould removers is often problematic. These chemical agents only have a superficial effect and usually do not offer a long-term solution. Mould often returns after a short time as the causes are not remedied. In addition, many of these products contain aggressive chemicals such as benzalkonium chloride or chlorine, which can irritate the skin and cause severe allergies. Caution should therefore be exercised when using them in order to avoid adverse health effects.

A sustainable solution for mould-prone areas is the use of heating solutions that specifically combat moisture. Our heating films and heating mats work with natural infrared heat and help to effectively dry out walls down to the core. This not only eliminates existing mould, but also prevents new mould from forming. Particularly in damp areas such as corners on external walls, window reveals or basements, where conventional ventilation measures are often not sufficient, this method offers a long-term solution.

Our Mould Dry System is particularly suitable for rental properties. This flexible system is easy to install and can be removed again without leaving any residue if required. It is therefore ideal for tenants who want to prevent mould in mould-prone rooms without making permanent structural changes. The one-off investment provides a permanent solution against damp and mould, and the system can even be reused in another location if you move house.
