The Mi-Heat low-voltage heating film 17 cm perforated is an innovative, effective and inconspicuous solution for mold prevention. Thanks to its simple application and high efficiency, it offers a sustainable way of drying damp walls and protecting health and the fabric of the building.
Molds love water and find ideal conditions to spread in damp house walls. This can be caused by a lack of or incorrect insulation, leaks or cracks in walls, roofs and windows, incorrect heating and ventilation and condensation of air humidity on cold walls. A permanently installed heating solution such as our narrow heating film can provide an effective remedy in such areas.
Our perforated Mi-Heat low-voltage heating film with a width of 17 cm is one of the thinnest variants of electric heating systems and is specially designed to prevent mold. This innovative heating solution is ideal for areas that are permanently at risk from high humidity, such as corners on exterior walls, window reveals, basements or bathrooms. With an output of 130 W/m², it is ideal for temperature control and can be installed behind tile adhesive, on plasterboard or directly in the wall plaster (gypsum plaster, clay plaster, textured plaster, etc.) so that it disappears invisibly into the room. The fleece lamination and even perforation make it extremely easy to apply. By heating the affected surfaces, the heating foils remove the moisture from the mold spores and thus the breeding ground for their development.
Our heating mats use natural infrared heat to sustainably dry out the wall down to the core, eliminating existing mold and preventing new growth. The heating films consist of two copper strips that supply an electrically conductive carbon coating on a carrier material. As soon as a voltage (either direct or alternating voltage) is applied to the copper strips, the carbon material heats up and emits long-wave infrared radiation with an IR wavelength of 7-14 micrometers (IR-C radiation). Almost the entire surface of the heating films heats up extremely evenly, ensuring homogeneous heat distribution. Compared to other electrical heating systems, the energy used is converted into heat without major losses, which makes the heating foils very efficient.
