230 V Ground Thawing Mats for Thawing Frozen Ground and Soil
Our electric ground thawing mats are a mobile and highly practical heating solution for targeted thawing of frozen ground, soil and other frost-affected areas. They are ideal for construction sites, civil engineering work, landscaping, agriculture and many other applications where frost and frozen surfaces can delay work processes. The thawing mats are simply rolled out over the required area and connected to the power supply. Depending on the selected version, the mats are available either with a Type F Schuko plug or an IEC 60309 plug. This allows the appropriate connection type to be selected according to the conditions at the place of use.
Once connected, the generated heat is distributed over a large area to the surface below, allowing controlled thawing of the frozen ground. Depending on soil conditions, outdoor temperature and frost depth, considerable thawing depths can be achieved within one day. Frozen ground can quickly cause delays, particularly during earthworks and civil engineering projects. Instead of mechanically breaking up the frozen ground or waiting for temperatures to rise, the ground thawing mat can be used specifically in the required work area. This allows work areas, trenches or areas intended for pipework and foundation work, for example, to be prepared efficiently.
The ground thawing mats are specially designed for demanding operating conditions. A robust, flame-retardant outer cover made of PVC/polyester fabric protects the heating system inside from external influences. Integrated insulation also supports the targeted transfer of heat towards the ground to be heated. Inside the mat, a powerful electric heating system combined with an aluminium heat distribution layer ensures the most even possible heating of the surface. This makes the mats suitable not only for thawing soil, but also for numerous other temporary heating and frost protection applications.
Another advantage of the electric thawing mats is their straightforward handling. No complex installation work is required. The mat is simply rolled out over the desired area, connected to the power supply and, after use, can be rolled up again, transported and stored in a space-saving manner. Integrated fastening and carrying elements further simplify handling, storage and transport. This makes the ground thawing mats ideal for changing locations on construction sites as well as for companies that regularly work with frozen ground.
The various available dimensions allow the mat to be adapted to the respective application. More compact versions are particularly suitable for smaller work areas and localised thawing tasks, while longer and narrower versions are ideal for trenches, utility routes, service connections and other elongated work areas.
Electric ground thawing mats can significantly reduce work interruptions caused by frost. Frozen areas can be heated in a targeted manner without the need to permanently install a heating system. Once the work has been completed, the mat can simply be rolled up again and reused at the next location. This makes the ground thawing mat a flexible and practical solution for professional users in construction, civil engineering, agriculture, industry and the skilled trades who need to continue working reliably even during prolonged periods of frost.
