Heat-shrink end cap with internal adhesive – 16 mm Diameter
The heat-shrink end cap is designed to securely seal and insulate cable ends, particularly in the case of self-regulating heating cables. It is shrunk onto the open end of the cable and reliably protects the connection point from moisture, dirt, UV exposure and mechanical stress.
Thanks to a shrink ratio of 4:1, the end cap fits snugly around the cable end when heated. The integrated internal adhesive melts during the shrinking process, ensuring a tight, permanent seal. When installed correctly, this creates a robust termination that is UV-resistant and waterproof to IPX7 standard.
The end cap is available individually and is ideal as a spare part, an addition or for the custom assembly of self-regulating heating cables. It is particularly suitable for outdoor applications, in damp rooms, and for frost protection, pipe tracing and trace heating systems.

Note: The end cap is pushed onto the prepared cable end and then heated evenly with suitable hot air. During shrinkage, the material fits tightly around the cable end, whilst the internal adhesive is activated and provides additional sealing. When installed correctly, this creates a robust, UV-resistant and waterproof connection with protection class IPX7. Installation must be carried out professionally. For electric heating cables, the relevant installation instructions and safety guidelines must be observed.
