MLTC Slim PTC Heating Cable 26 W/m - Sold by the Metre for Custom Assembly
Our particularly compact, self-regulating MLTC Slim heating cable provides a reliable and space-saving solution for frost protection and heating of water pipes, supply lines, pipelines and liquid containers. With its compact dimensions of just 8.2 × 5.8 mm, it is particularly suitable for applications where installation space is limited. The heating cable is available by the metre and can be cut to the required length.
Thanks to its self-regulating PTC technology, the heating cable automatically adjusts its heat output according to the ambient temperature: As the temperature rises, the heat output decreases, while lower temperatures increase the heat output. This ensures heat is supplied according to demand and supports energy-efficient operation. Another advantage is that the cable can be installed with overlapping sections, allowing even complex pipe layouts, valves and fittings to be heated flexibly.
The MLTC Slim heating cable offers a wide range of applications. It is particularly suitable for use as a pipe trace heating system to protect water pipes and supply lines against freezing. It can also be used for heating liquid containers, tanks, valves and fittings, as well as for maintaining temperatures in pipelines with low heating requirements.
Thanks to its slim design, the heating cable can be easily installed even in confined spaces. Its robust construction, featuring a protective braid made of tinned copper and flexible thermoplastic outer insulation, ensures long-lasting performance under suitable installation conditions. With a rated output of 26 W/m at 10 °C and a maximum energised cable temperature of 65 °C, the heating cable is particularly suitable for frost protection applications with relatively low heating requirements.
For controlled and economical operation, we recommend using a suitable thermostat with a temperature sensor appropriate for the application.
