Robust universal thermostat for indoor and outdoor heating and cooling Solutions
The TEV-3 universal surface-mounted thermostat offers a reliable and flexible solution for temperature control in demanding industrial environments. Designed for use in heating and cooling systems, it impresses with its robust housing made of hard-wearing ABS plastic with IP65 protection. This makes the thermostat ideal for use in areas exposed to dust and moisture - both indoors and outdoors - and it works reliably in a wide ambient temperature range from -30 °C to +50 °C.
The ease of use of the TEV-3 is supported by an easily accessible rotary potentiometer (setting range from 5 to 35°C) on the device cover. In addition, the integrated operating elements and a clearly visible two-colour LED status display make it easier to orientate and adjust the temperature settings - especially with frequent use. An integrated monitoring mechanism reliably detects faults in the temperature sensor such as short circuits or open circuits.
With a powerful switching output (16 A / 3680 W) in NO/NC design, the TEV-3 is suitable for controlling heating systems such as pipe trace heating, hall and infrared heating or open-air heating as well as for cooling solutions such as fans or air conditioning units. The temperature is recorded via an external 12 kOhm NTC sensor. An optional sensor with a 6 metre connection cable is available for longer distances. If required, consumers with higher power consumption can also be integrated via an external power contactor.
Typical areas of application are warehouses and production halls, workshops, greenhouses and generally exposed outdoor areas where precise and weatherproof temperature control is required.
