IP65 surface-mounted thermostat - ideal for frost protection heating systems and trace heating Systems
The new TEV-1 temperature controller is characterised by its versatility. The thermostat has been specially designed for use in electrical frost protection systems such as
pipe trace heating systems, gutter heating systems and outdoor heating systems (optional floor sensor with 6m cable available).
Two easily accessible rotary potentiometers enable uncomplicated commissioning. The switch-on and switch-off points can be set separately between temperatures of -20 and +20°C on the thermostat. For example, the de-icing process can be activated below +3 °C and switched off again when temperatures fall further, e.g. -10 °C - i.e. when there is no longer any risk of re-icing due to deep frost - in order to save energy. This enables particularly efficient control of the connected frost protection devices.
The transparent cover of the robust ABS housing allows a constant view of the operating and status LEDs, which indicate the current operating status. An operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C enables reliable control even under extreme climatic conditions. The TEV-1 temperature controller can switch loads up to 16A / 3680W directly or control a power contactor if required.
