Thermostat for outdoor areas
ETO2 is an electronic controller for fully automatic, economical ice and snow melting in outdoor areas and gutters. Ice forms at a certain constellation of low temperature and humidity. ETO2 detects both temperature and humidity, and the snow melting system is usually activated only when ice or snow is present. ETO2 is suitable for controlling electric heating cables or water-based heating pipes.
The moisture sensor must be installed in the floor surface or gutter. As soon as moisture is detected at a critical temperature level, the ETO2 controller activates the snow melting system. As soon as the sensor is dry, the thermostat switches to reheating mode, during which the system continues heating for a predefined period.
The snow melting system is only activated when the outside temperature drops below the setpoint and snow or ice is registered by the sensors. Energy consumption therefore only occurs when absolutely necessary.
For gutters - ETO2-4550, ETOR-55 and ETF-744/99
The ETOR sensor is designed for installation in gutters, downpipes, etc. ETOR sensors detect moisture, ETF sensors measure temperature.
For open spaces - ETO2-4550, ETOG-55 and ETOG-56/ETOK-1
The ETOG sensor is designed to be embedded in the ground surface in outdoor areas. ETOG sensors detect soil temperature and humidity. The ETF-744/99 sensor is designed to detect sudden temperature drops.
