Electric underfloor heating for tiles and bondable floor coverings*

The perforated Mi-Heat heating film is one of the thinnest versions of electric heating systems and is designed for use as floor, wall or ceiling heating. The heating film consists of two copper strips that supply an electrically conductive coating on a carrier material. The heating film can be supplied with 24 volts direct current or alternating current. This also makes it possible to use it in damp rooms, for example in a shower that can be walked on at ground level.

The special feature of this heating film is the fleece lamination and even perforation (perforation), which enables easy processing, e.g. in plaster, tile adhesive or by means of floor covering adhesive. This means that the heater can be installed universally under tiles, granite, porcelain stoneware or directly in the wall plaster. Installation under bondable floor coverings such as vinyl, parquet or herringbone laminate is also possible.

Almost the entire surface within the heating film heats up evenly and thus ensures homogeneous heat distribution. Compared to other electrical heating systems, the energy used is converted into heat without much loss, which makes the infrared heating film very efficient. The generated and harmless infrared radiation directly heats the objects above (e.g. the floor covering), whereby no air turbulence occurs.

*Note: The set offered here includes heating film, which is supplied in one piece (rolls) and has to be assembled on site by the customer.

Note!
When using electric underfloor heating, a thermostat that allows an adjustable temperature limit of 28°C must be used for control.
When using electric heating elements, ensure that the surface covering has the appropriate thermal conductivity. A manufacturer's approval must be obtained in advance by the customer.
The installation of electric heating systems may and must only be carried out by a specialist in accordance with VDE DIN 100.
