Comfort PTC heating film 220 watts/m² – 80 cm wide, assembled
The Mi-Heat Comfort PTC heating film is an exceptionally thin and powerful electric heat source for wall and ceiling heating systems, as well as bespoke heating and temperature control projects. With a width of 80 cm and a heating output of 220 watts/m², it is particularly suitable for large-scale installation in plasterboard constructions. The heating film can be mounted on walls or ceilings on a suitable substructure or battens and then covered with plasterboard. Due to its minimal thickness, it takes up hardly any extra space and can therefore also be used in renovation and refurbishment projects.
The electrically conductive carbon coating is positioned between the copper conductors on either side and heats up quickly and evenly when the operating voltage is applied. With an output of 220 W/m² ±10%, the 80 cm wide heating foil offers sufficient power reserves for heating large areas of walls and ceilings. Depending on the building’s insulation, the available heating surface area and the calculated heat requirement, it can be used as supplementary heating or as a fully-fledged room heating system. The heat generated is transferred to the wall or ceiling cladding and then evenly distributed throughout the room. This creates a pleasant radiant heat with minimal air movement.
The integrated PTC characteristic ensures consistent and stable operation. PTC stands for ‘Positive Temperature Coefficient’ and describes a temperature-dependent electrical resistance. As the temperature rises, the resistance of the heating foil increases, thereby reducing the power consumption compared to the cold initial state. This property contributes to even heat distribution, but does not replace a suitable thermostat or a professionally installed temperature monitoring system.
Important note: This heating film is not suitable for use as an electric underfloor heating system. It must not be installed under laminate, parquet, vinyl, carpet or other floor coverings.
